What to See & Do in Austin

Austin has a never ending array of things to see and do.  There is an outstanding collection of world-class museums, arts, amusement parks, recreational activities, fine dining, and outstanding night clubs all in one place. Austin is also the home of country music in Texas, the city where Willie Nelson and Doug Sahm  got their start. There is a thriving music scene in the city, with almost every style of contemporary music available.

Austin Zoo - Hangin' around our wild bunch is fun for the whole family. At Austin Zoo, adults and kids alike can enjoy the great outdoors and experience a close-up look at animals from around the world...all in a safe and friendy environment. Austin Zoo offers a shady picnic area complete with grills, and is a perfect place to hold a child's party, a family gathering or a company event. So, come over to the wild side of Austin, we're just 20 minutes from downtown.
Wonder World Park - is a Texas Historical Site. The unique attractions here are entertaining and educational for the whole family. Enjoy guided tours through the nation's only earthquake-formed cave. Exit by elevator and catch a breathtaking view of the fault line's drop-off point from atop the Tejas Observation Tower. Play in our crazy Anti-Gravity House and take a train ride through the waterfalls of Mystery Mountain to meet and feed the friendly animals in the largest petting park in Texas!
Inner Space Cavern - is filled with history, mystery and chemistry! It's a living cave with spectacular displays of stalactites, helectites, soda straws, cave drapery and much more.  It's a delightful 72 degrees inside the cave - a great way to beat the heat.  And don't miss the fun new Inner Space Mine where you can pan for gems & Minerals  More than 80,000 years in the making, Texas' newest and most-accessible cavern features spectacular rock formations and an unmistakable air of mystery. Austin Nature & Science Center - Austin's only living science museum! Indoor exhibits: the hands-on "Discovery Lab," the "Nature of Austin," showing Austin's four central eco-systems, and "Small Wonders," highlighting small reptiles, arthropods, and fish. Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch - Have you ever dreamed of going on an African Safari? Well, Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch makes that dream come true, Texas Style. Thunder Zone - is a family fun center with two go-kart tracks and a separate bumper kart area, all under cover for all-weather operation. The oval track features winged sprint cars while the grand prix track features Indy-style cars. Two-seat karts are available so parents can take younger children for rides. The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center (formerly the National Wildflower Research Center), - was founded in 1982 to educate people about the environmental necessity, economic value, and natural beauty of native plants. Volente Beach Water Park - is unlike any other water park in the world. It is built on the shores of beautiful Lake Travis.
